FCC Chair Carr lists AI among new national security priorities

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr has announced creating a new Council for National Security to counter China’s progress in developing artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies, among other priorities.

The new council, to be led by FCC national security counsel Adam Chan, will put the commission on the frontlines of a top priority for the Trump administration -- countering China’s global influence.
