Fair housing group eyes success as third-party AI auditor employing disparate impact theory

The National Fair Housing Alliance is betting that bipartisan efforts to build public trust in artificial intelligence systems by fostering competition among independent auditors of the technology’s use will reward its continued reliance on methodology that has come under attack in a new executive order.
