Electric grid regulators tell DOE that AI can assist in preventing blackouts, aid planning

The North American Electric Reliability Corp. is telling the Department of Energy that artificial intelligence can assist in planning for future bulk-power construction projects and predicting severe weather storms to prevent potential blackouts.
