DOJ implements bulk data rule with new compliance guidance, timing

The Department of Justice has released guidance on new restrictions on bulk data transfers to China and other countries of concern, including a compliance guide and an updated enforcement timeline for the program, which is intended to block adversaries’ access to data -- through brokers or otherwise -- that can be used to train artificial intelligence models among other purposes.
