Data rights group drafts guide for protecting elections from AI in absence of federal legislation

The Center for Democracy and Technology is developing guidance on protecting the upcoming election from threats related to artificial intelligence, amid an apparent standoff in Congress over proposals to ban deepfakes and other AI-powered deceptive practices.
