Court orders source code protections in landmark AI copyright lawsuit by news groups

A federal district court has approved a proposed order by parties in a landmark lawsuit filed by the New York Times and other news outlets against Microsoft and OpenAI alleging copyright infringements from the training of ChatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence model.
