Court orders Meta to release post-training datasets for Llama generative AI model

A federal district court has ordered Facebook owner Meta to release a dataset related to intellectual property claims in post-training and refinement of its open-source Llama generative artificial intelligence model, the latest development in a high-profile copyright complaint.

Also, the court ordered the company to provide supervised fine-tuning data cited by Meta engineer Nikolay Bashlykov who allegedly wrote a script for removing copyright information from training datasets.
