Commerce says reporting rule coming this year on foreign AI developers’ use of U.S. cloud services
The Commerce Department says it will release final rules by the end of this year requiring U.S. cloud service providers to report foreign entities that use their products to develop and train artificial intelligence, part of a broader goal to limit China’s access to the technology initially set by the Trump administration.
