CDT finds uncertainty in tech’s handling of AI political ads as federal policymakers falter
The Center for Democracy and Technology says social media companies have varying policies on disclosing the use of artificial intelligence in political advertising, but all companies ban deceptive or misleading content, according to the findings of a new report that examines how the policies for social media platforms have been adjusted in response to the emergence of AI in political messaging.
