California regulator pressed by industry, consumer groups for changes to automated decision-making rule

Business and consumer groups alike are asking the California Privacy Protection Agency to revise proposed rules on automated decision-making tools, with the software industry saying the latest changes to the proposal don’t go far enough while a key digital rights group urges the regulators to return to a previous version of the pending regulation.
