Bipartisan Senate bill sees role for AI in response to extreme weather

Sens. Brian Schatz (D-HI) and Tim Sheehy (R-MT) have introduced a bill that would put artificial intelligence to work in responding to wildfires and other “extreme weather” events, a sign of both the multifaceted potential of AI and lawmakers’ growing fascination with the technology.
