Bipartisan bill to enforce export controls could face pushback from AI chip company

Legislation introduced to prevent the circumvention of export controls through a technical location verification mechanism is poised to divide two powerful segments of the U.S. artificial intelligence industry, with frontier AI model developers on one side and chip designer NVIDIA on the other.
