ARI celebrates Republicans’ retreat from NDAA in state AI preemption effort

Leading opponents of the federal government blocking states from enforcing their own laws to govern artificial intelligence are claiming victory as congressional Republicans indicate they are looking for an alternative to the annual National Defense Authorization Act for passing a preemption provision.
