Analysts: Biden’s AI security memo depends on election outcome, use of waivers

The implementation of President Biden’s landmark national security memorandum on the use of artificial intelligence will depend on the outcome of the presidential election, with the next administration charged with meeting key deadlines for testing AI systems next spring, while offering a new waiver process for any federal agency to bypass those requirements.
