Analysis: Trump AI framework leads discussion but legislative action is distant
The Trump administration and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) have each put forward national policy frameworks for artificial intelligence, with both proposals bearing President Trump's name and neither likely to move in a Congress twisted in multiple directions by AI.
The 291-page Blackburn bill, the “TRUMP AMERICA AI Act,” was introduced March 18, followed two days later by the anxiously awaited Trump plan, the “National Policy Framework for Artificial Intelligence.”
