Analysis: Biden’s AI legacy rests on U.S. leadership both domestically and internationally

President Biden’s successful handoff of his policy accomplishments on artificial intelligence to the next administration rests on bipartisan support for renewed U.S. manufacturing at home and international leadership on research and standards for safe and secure AI uses.

A signature accomplishment for Biden was enactment of the 2022 CHIPS and Science Act which provided tens of billions of dollars to U.S.-based companies to build or expand manufacturing capabilities for computer chips and semiconductors crucial for AI development.
