AI safety advocates press for special ‘whistleblower’ protections in comments to BIS

The Bureau of Industry and Security should adopt language to facilitate and protect company insiders in a rule requiring developers of dual-use AI foundation models to submit regular reports on their activities, according to nonprofit groups concerned about a broad range of risks associated with the technology.
