Agencies playing key roles on AI and cyber fall under Trump order on ‘accountability’

President Trump’s new executive order on “accountability” at independent federal agencies asserts an unprecedented level of White House supervision over the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission and other bodies that played essential roles on artificial intelligence and cyber during the Biden administration, including through rulemakings.
