ABA panel tells lawyers generative AI poses uncertain data confidentiality risks

An American Bar Association committee on legal ethics has issued guidance for lawyers on the use of generative artificial intelligence, warning that the risks to protecting confidential client information are evolving and uncertain, while advising the legal community to stay abreast of developments in the fast-paced AI industry.
